A weekend celebration 9/10/2010 - 9/12/2010
Location: COSM (Chapel Of Sacred Mirrors) - 46 Deer Hill Road - Wappingers Falls, NY 12590
"Through the Goddess, we can discover our strength, enlighten our minds, own our bodies, and celebrate our emotions." -- Starhawk
Celebrate the Eternal Womanly, the image of creative and compassionate divinity in everyone. In a sacred circle, sharing the light and shadow of our lives, we will commit to our own transformation and empower our collective goals. Body, mind, and spirit will be examined through the lens of visionary women. To restore right-relationship with Earth Mother, Gaia, we will explore practical ways of integrating the Goddess energy flowing through Sophia, Sheckena, and Shakti. Drawing from the wisdom of the transcendent, we will dedicate our creative gifts to serve the world.
Wise women young and old, will discuss sacred female archetypes. art and spirituality, activism, food and nutrition, birthing and parenting, conscious entrepreneurship, medicine and healing, and the evolution of the image of beauty, considered cross-culturally and throughout history. Palm readers, card readers, and other seers and esoteric healers will be on hand to delve deep into the realm and manifestation of the goddess.
The sacred masculine is invited to join in celebrating the Divine Feminine. "God may be in the details, but the goddess is in the questions. Once we begin to ask them, there's no turning back." -- Gloria Steinem
